Pontarddulais Area Food Bank

Starting on February 6th on a once per week basis our Food Bank will operate on Wednesdays between 12noon and 4pm. People can visit with a referral form (available from GP’s, Social Workers, Support Workers, Job Centre Plus etc) and will be provided with a food parcel.  Various advice agencies will also be on hand to offer support to people who need it.  

Café Canolfan

Our cafe/coffee shop supports volunteering in the community and enables people with learning disabilities to gain skills.  We offer a varied menu with special events throughout the year.  Why not pop in for a cuppa, or just call for a chat.  You won’t be disappointed and will be guaranteed a very warm welcome.  Our new kitchen and food preparation project is now underway and details of activities available will be published shortly. 

Canolfan y Bont Charity Shop – the only £1 Charity Shop in the town 

Why not visit the shop and grab yourself a bargain.  There is no need to ask the price as everything we sell is just £1. We stock good quality second hand and new clothes, shoes and clothing accessories for ladies, men and children.  We also accept donated items.  All monies raised from the shop are ploughed back into the work of Pontarddulais Partnership for the benefit of the local community.

New Course Schedule

2019

Our course providers, DACE, Swansea Lifelong Learning Service, and various individual tutors have started to book their courses which will commence in the Summer term of 2019.  Some of the exciting subjects on offer are IT Workshops, Family History, History, Meditation, Mindfulness, Parchment Craft, Drawing for Beginners. We also offer a BA Humanities degree (DACE) on a part-time basis.  Various groups meet at the centre including Parchment Craft, Camera Club, Family History Groups.  Keep an eye out for our Adult Learner Week activities which will be published soon.
